When you talk about the history of Shelbyville backyard wrestling. You can't leave out one of the historic names in history. "The Essential One" Rob Slater. Rob debuted in 1999 along side names such as Justin Parsley, Kurt Acid, Hazard, Chris Jones, ect. Slater's career is most notable for his time in BYWE & UIW. Rob would make his XCW debut in 2005 and make his mark on the big stage. During his time in XCW. Rob would have feuds with XCW Hall of Famers such as Hazard, Genocide, Nick Chaney, Psycore, & Tommy Merriman. Slater was the runner up in S.T. One in a SummerMania IV in a losing effort to Chris Jones. Rob Slater made his XCW return @ Xtreme King 2023. From there Slater has made his presences known as he looks to get back to his glory days and once again be on top of the Shelbyville Backyard Wrestling Mountain Top.
